The Association for Tropical Lepidoptera newsletter, LEPIDOPTERA NEWS, is published quarterly, and is sent to all active members of ATL (formerly titled Tropical Lepidoptera News).
The newsletter provides up-to-date information about ATL news and activities, and other information of interest to members. Regular subjects include new books, events, activites, members in the news, etc. An annual feature, begun in 1994, is a yearly summary of new literature on Lepidoptera of interest to members.
Lepidoptera News accepts notes and longer articles. Illustrations can be line art or halftones (no color). There are no page charges. Reprints limited to 20 copies. Articles are peer-reviewed to provide the highest consistent quality and scientific content. Major abstracting services cover the journal, including Abstracts of Entomology (BIOSIS) and Zoological Record.
LITERATURE SUMMARIES
The yearly Lepidoptera literature summaries include recent papers and books of interest to members. References are arranged by subject content and organized in 5 categories: General, Morphology, Holarctic Lepidoptera, Tropical Lepidoptera, and Economic Lepidoptera. Both faunal categories (Holarctic or Tropical) have references arranged by the family or group a particular paper pertains to.
Members are needed to search local literature for added Lepidoptera references.
