ATL PHOTO REGISTRY

GOALS
The goal of the ATL Photo Registry is to maintain a database of all available species of Lepidoptera that persons have photographed, mainly color slides, including all staged of life history. Membership in ATL is not required to submit lists of photos to ATL. Persons submitting lists of their color slides retain possession of their photographs. There is no charge for this service. ATL will add submitted lists of photographs to the ATL Photo Registry database and return a sorted list of species to the submitter.
A long-term goal of the ATL Photo Registry is also to have persons donate color slides or duplicates to ATL to form a Lepidoptera photograph museum archive.

The ATL Photo Registry database is maintained as a computer file and will eventually be available for searching on-line by interested users. Code numbers will be noted for each submitter and if users want to contact the owner of a particular photograph, the owner will be contacted by ATL to ask about their willingness in letting the interested user write to them about the photograph. In this way available photogaphs of Lepidoptera will be made known and persons needing various species photos will be able to contact photo owners about their use.

SUBMISSIONS
To submit lists of photographs to the ATL Photo Registry, write to our address, or use e-mail or FAX. Submitters will be kept confidential until they wish to have an interested user contact them.

DONATIONS
Persons wishing to donate color slides or copies to ATL are welcome to do so. The ATL Photo Registry will archive any donated slides for future use as needed and as a museum archive of Lepidoptera photographs.
