Participants will meet the field trip coordinator in the Florida Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services Doyle Conner Building (1911 SW 34th St., Gainesville) parking lot (north side). We plan to leave by 8:30 am and will return by 3:00 pm. Contact Marc Minno (mminno@bellsouth.net; 352-219-1009 cell) for updates on meeting time and transportation. A variety of habitats including flatwoods, maritime hammocks, swamps, and salt marshes are available to explore. Please be prepared to carpool or provide your own transportation, food, beverages, special equipment, and insect repellant as needed.
