The Association for Tropical Lepidoptera is a non-profit scientific society and educational membership organization, founded in 1989 to promote the study and conservation of Lepidoptera worldwide, especially in the tropical regions of the world.
Membership in the Association for Tropical Lepidoptera is open to anyone interested in moths and butterflies, with emphasis on tropical species, their study and conservation. Benefits of membership include the following 1. Helping to support and publish in ATL's journal, Tropical Lepidoptera Research, the world's only major journal dedicated to the study of butterflies and moths of the tropics. 2. Participation in a global network of Lepidoptera researchers and enthusiasts. 3. Receipt of: a) periodic emailed updatescontaining ATL news; b) the most-current ATL Membership List, showing members' interests; c) Annual Business Meeting Minutes. 4. Voting eligibility in ATL elections.
